Multifor, SA is a Guatemalan company dedicated to the production and sale of live-edge slabs and furniture crafted from live-edge slabs for wholesale companies in the United States and Central America seeking to market a unique, elegant, and natural product that is easy to sell and yields good profits.
About Company
Multifor, S.A. was founded by professionals in the forestry and wood industrialization area who, fascinated by the beauty of the wooden slabs, started the project for its production and marketing.
This project has allowed us to serve several clients in the United States and Central America over the last 8 years. On the other hand, it has also generated sources of empluyment in the rural communities where the trees are extracted and in the urban area where the slabs and slabs furniture factory is located.
To guarantee the integrity of the products, Multifor S.A. carries out the entire production process, beginning with the management of forest use permits until the sale of the furniture, processes that are described below.
What we do?
Forest Harvesting
We obtain logs recovered from sustainably managed forests and from forest plantations duly registered with the Guatemalan forestry authority, from whom we request the corresponding permit to cut and transport the wood.
Sawing and drying of the slabs
We saw the logs trying to obtain the best cuts and then the slabs are dried in the kiln drying, to a moisture content that ranges from 8% to 10%.
Live Edge Woodworking
The grains, knots and imperfections of the wooden slabs that we use are used by our artisan carpenteres to make unique, exclusive furniture with a natural character.
Exportación
We carry out the export procedures in Guatemala and follow ip on the shipment together with the customs agent of the importing country, to ensure that the product reaches its destination.
